Chris Pair founded Althea in January 2020 as a government affairs and public relations consultancy.
He also directly advises elected officials, those seeking elected office, and issue advocacy campaigns.
Chris has previously served as a Senior Advisor overseeing intergovernmental affairs and the communications department in the Office of Governor Kate Brown; as Senior Advisor on the Kate Brown for Oregon gubernatorial campaign; and as Press Secretary in the Oregon Governor’s Office under two governors.
Before entering public service, Chris worked as a producer for CNN and CNN International covering the 2008 presidential election, H1N1 flu outbreak, the 2008 economic downturn, political upheaval in Kenya and throughout Africa, the Gaza War, conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, and several hurricanes for domestic and international audiences.
Chris also developed and produced several docu-series projects for linear television networks telling stories about dying coral reefs, high school renewable energy programs, and even a group of moms who love to fish.
Pair graduated from Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia and now lives with his two daughters and an expanding family of surfboards and golf clubs.
